If you’ve ever been in the thick of wedding season, you know the familiar wardrobe panic: a stack of invitations, each with its own dress code — “summer formal,” “cocktail casual,” even “black tie” in the sweltering sun. 
The assignment can feel daunting. For Hallea Tse, however, it’s just another part of the job. As the founder of Beacon Hill-based Hallea Events, where she specializes in weddings and social gatherings, she has mastered not just planning stylish events but also curating her own looks with equal finesse.
How did this outfit come together, and what inspired it?
I have to give partial credit to Erika Vazquez Jun, who owns FRIDA and styled this look for me. I just love how vintage is really cool again, especially the way that FRIDA and similar shops are elevating the vintage shopping experience through intentional curation. I added a Cult Gaia handbag to balance the outfit.
How would you describe your personal style?
I used to lean heavily into street style, but I have been experimenting with my clothing lately. I anchor my looks with basics in neutral colors, and over the past two or three years, I have added pieces that range from very feminine to more menswear-inspired. Since I’m always on the go, I prefer fits that can transition easily from professional to play. 
What are your thoughts on Seattle fashion in the summer?
Seattle as a whole is starting to wake up into its style era. I’m seeing more and more people step out in outfits that are more intentional. It feels like as the city continues to grow, there are more and more people pushing boundaries with a new level of confidence.
