“Nobody Wants This” is the most popular show on Netflix right now, according to the streamer’s public ranking system.
The hit romantic comedy series, inspired by creator Erin Foster’s real-life romance, follows the unlikely love story of dating podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) and “hot rabbi” Noah (Adam Brody) as they figure out whether their relationship can survive their wildly different lifestyles. In Season 2, which premiered Oct. 23, the lovebirds encounter even more obstacles as the million-dollar question looms — will Joanne ever convert to Judaism?
In addition to Bell and Brody, the show stars Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Michael Hitchcock, Stephanie Faracy, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh, Sherry Cola and D’Arcy Carden.
“Nobody Wants This” became a breakout phenomenon last year after its first season earned rave reviews, including one from HuffPost (along with some flak for its portrayal of Jewish women). Still, the beloved show snagged three 2025 Emmy nominations, including one for Best Comedy Series. But with audiences more critical of its second season, only time will tell if the show will remain a hit.
