October is typically the month where streaming services go all-in on horror, but Netflix is keeping its offerings nice and diverse. The streamer has a ton of new content this month, including an animated Splinter Cell series, the return of The Witcher, and more. We’ve gone through the month’s new content, watched the trailers, read the IMDB pages, and picked out the must-watch stuff, along with a complete listing. Monster: The Ed Gein Story (Oct. 3)

Charlie Hunnam stars as one of the most influential serial killers of all time in Monster: The Ed Gein Story. For the latest season of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series, we travel to Plainfield, Wisconsin, to meet a retiring farm boy living in his family home after the deaths of his parents. Oh, and he was kidnapping and murdering people and making furniture from their body parts. Can’t forget that part.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch (Oct. 14)

Tom Clancy’s top operative Sam Fisher leaves the world of video games for a Netflix animated series in Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. When he’s pulled from retirement to mentor a new agent, Sam quickly becomes embroiled in yet another global conspiracy that requires him to cross the globe, infiltrate bases, take out foes, and generally get up to no good.

A House Of Dynamite (Oct. 24)

The new political thriller from Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow, A House Of Dynamite pulls us back into a Cold War nightmare. When a single nuclear missile is launched at Chicago from an unknown source, the president and his cabinet need to decide how to respond in a way that prevents further casualties. Early reviews are super positive.
